Extension and repair of the existing hall will transform it into a key cultural and ceremonial space for the university whilst providing a home for its extensive collection of musical instruments. Harley Haddow, David Narro Associates, Studio SP, New Acoustics, Thomson Bethune and CDM Scotland are all collaborating on the £6.3m build. Once complete it will provide a 40 per cent increase in gallery space together with improved acoustics and a reconfigured entrance space modelled to resemble a harpsichord. Historic features such as an oval plan concert hall will also be remodeled. | Send to friend
